2 things that you should do to your skin every day!
If there were only 2 things that you do to your skin each day – make it cleansing and moisturising.
There are many beauty products out there for pimples, dry skin, oily skin, blackheads, wrinkles etc. However affordability and time to apply all of these products can be a huge barrier for many people.
Keep your skincare routine simple.
Cleanse and moisturise morning and night. And when time and money permits, you can explore other beneficial products.
Cleansing your face in the morning and before bed is essential for maintaining healthy, glowing skin. The effects of not cleansing daily can cause breakouts, dry and/or oily skin, and generally a dull complexion. Cleansing is essential for:
- allowing dirt and old skin cells to be removed
- helping to remove makeup grime and bacteria
- allows the skin to breathe properly and freely
- promoting good circulation to your face
- preparing the skin to properly benefit from moisturising
Look for a natural cleanser that is pH balanced (meaning the acidity and alkalinity levels are balanced to be similar to your own skins pH levels). Your skin should NOT feel dry and tight after cleansing, it should feel clean and supple.
Moisturising your face will help you to have softer, more elastic skin, and it will keep your skin hydrated. Moisturising is essential for:
- hydrating your skin
- balancing sebum production
- preventing dehydration and dryness
- locking in moisture
Look for a moisturiser to suit your skin type. A cream is perfect for dry/mature skin and a serum for normal/oily skin. Oil blends are also great for all skin types. Oil is the most pure thing you can use on your skin and is deeply nourishing. Using a cream or serum in the morning and an oil blend at night, is a great combination to get the beautiful glow.
